MATRIXX Software demonstrates mobile data Catalyst project at Management World 2012

Project will show next generation architecture for managing high volumes of mobile data traffic

Mountain View, CA, May 15, 2012 – MATRIXX Software today announces it will demonstrate a TM Forum Catalyst project at Management World 2012, to show how mobile broadband data traffic can be cost-effectively monetized.

TM Forum’s Catalyst program takes an innovative approach to creating leading- edge solutions by providing service providers and MSOs, system integrators and industry suppliers with a neutral collaborative environment and a process for working together to rapidly solve common, critical industry challenges. These short-term projects culminate in live demonstrations at TM Forum’s Management World events and contribute to improving TM Forum’s best practices and standards.

The project, called “Real-Time Charging for High Volume Mobile Data,” will demonstrate how high volumes of data traffic being driven by Smartphones and tablets can be profitably handled by Communications Service Providers (CSPs). The Catalyst project will introduce a highly scalable and efficient solution that addresses the deep concerns CSPs have with charging performance following the mobile data explosion on 3G, LTE and Wi-Fi networks. The project will show a new architecture for handling large volumes of mobile data more cost- effectively while also delivering an improved customer experience.

The Catalyst project is championed by France Telecom-Orange and includes participants Capgemini, DigitalRoute and Vedicis. Demonstrating a new reference architecture for integrated DPI, policy and online charging, the project offers new opportunities for carriers to reduce OPEX, monetize broadband with tiered services, and create interactive customer experiences.

The project can be found in the TM Forum’s Forumville area at Management World 2012 in Dublin, Ireland on May 21-24th 2012.
